Erick J. Kirker is a subrogation attorney for Cozen O’Conner with over 20 years of experience handling large loss property damage claims. Prior to joining the firm, Erick had a diverse litigation practice that also included the representation of personal injury clients, product manufacturers, and building contractors and developers.
Erick has tried cases and argued appeals in numerous state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions. He has litigated and successfully resolved large loss property subrogation cases in numerous state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Florida, Kentucky and Ohio. His property subrogation matters have included major fire losses, building and roof collapse, water damage claims and sprinkler system failures.
Erick has been named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Law & Politics. He is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American bar associations. Erick is also a frequent lecturer on subrogation issues and the prosecution of large loss property damage claims, including presentations at a National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) national conference, Property & Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) regional conference, Cyber Risk & Privacy Liability forum for NetDiligence, and a three-part webinar series on subrogation for Thomson Reuters.
Erick received his Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1995. In 1998, Erick obtained his law degree from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia.
