Chris began his insurance career with Progressive Insurance (Florida) in 1992 before returning to New England in 1994, where he continued working with Progressive in Special Investigations and Property and Casualty claims in Rhode Island. That same year, he began serving as a Firefighter/EMT Cardiac with the East Greenwich Fire Department, later becoming a Captain from 2003-2005. In 2005, he was hired by the Warwick Fire Department and retired in 2022 as a Fire Inspector/Investigator after 26 years in the fire service.

In 2007, while serving as a firefighter, Chris began a six-year insurance role handling liability claims, as well as a fire investigator with Nationwide Insurance. In 2012, he joined Narragansett Bay Insurance (Heritage Insurance), where he established the Large Loss Claims unit and later managed a Complex Large Loss team across 16 states, overseeing property losses. Chris has responded to many catastrophe claims in CA, FL, NY, RI and MA. Chris joined HUB International New England in the winter of 2026 as a Claims Executive Technical Manager, specializing in property damage and liability claims. Chris is licensed in 10 states.

Chris has extensive experience in fire research and investigation, becoming certified in 1996. He holds certifications as a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), and Certified Vehicle FireInvestigator (CVFI). He has testified numerous times throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York. Chris earned his designations through the IAAI and NAFI, and he is an active member in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He has authored numerous publications on fire safety in the home and workplace and has conducted many fire safety training sessions.

Chris earned an Associate’s degree in Sports Management from Becker College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from Merrimack College.

Outside of work, Chris coaches high school hockey in Rhode Island and serves as Chairman of the Breakthrough (formerly JDRF) Golf Classic for 25 years, helping raise more than $3.2 million for the organization along with his committee. He is married to his wife of 35 years and has 2 children.
